City of Watkinsville

Watkinsville's Eagle Tavern, the county welcome center, displays furnishings typical of frontier life in the late 1700s. The house was a hotel and tavern for travelers from Madison and Greensboro.
According to 2000 Census, the City of Watkinsville had a population of 2,097 persons. Between 1990 and 2000, the city experienced a population increase of 31.1%, compared to the state growth during this period of 26.4%.
